Library
The Michaelstein library focuses on collecting music from the 17th and 18th centuries. With more than 11,000 items, the public institution can be used by visitors to the Music Academy and any interested parties. The stocks on open access collection include chamber music and numerous writings on music, music encyclopaedias, commemorative editions, complete editions, journals, sound recordings and books on the history of art, culture and the monastery. Performance Materials for orchestra include previously unpublished sheet music which has been developed based on historical sources; these can also be borrowed.
