The digital collection of data about items in a collection forms the basis for further research.
There are currently approx. 1,100 exhibits in the Michaelstein musical instrument collection. These include some 640 musical instruments, 220 bows and 180 recordings, along with historical sheet music, instrumental method books, graphic art and furniture.
A full set of data on these items are currently being transferred to special museum software. They will then be made available to the public step by step on online platforms such as “Museum Digital”.
